Analyzing empirical data from 15,000+ soil testing samples processed by RSAK Society in Mahoba and Jhansi districts.
Excessive use of nitrogenous fertilizers without proper micro-nutrient balancing leads to soil salinity and reduced yield. Through the Soil Health Card initiative funded by D.D. Agriculture Mahoba and Jhansi, RSAK Society mapped soil macro and micro-nutrients across hundreds of villages.
Laboratory Analytical Highlights
- Organic Carbon Deficiencies: Over 64% of sampled agricultural land showed low organic carbon content (<0.50%).
- Targeted Micronutrient Dosing: Supplementing Zinc and Boron resulted in an average 14% yield increase for wheat and chickpea crops.
- Cost Reduction: Farmers saved up to ₹2,400 per acre by avoiding unnecessary Urea applications.
